Pune: MLC Vikram Kakade Returns to Shooting Range, Set to Compete in National Championship in Delhi

Pune, 28th September 2026: Maharashtra Legislative Council member Vikram Kakade is set to return to competitive shooting and will participate in the National Shooting Championship scheduled to be held in New Delhi in November. He has already begun training for the national-level competition.

Shooting has been a longstanding passion for Kakade, who had earlier trained regularly in the sport. However, he had to take a break from shooting due to various responsibilities. He has now resumed practice as he prepares to compete at the national championship.

Recently, Kakade visited a world-class trap and skeet shooting centre in Tembhurni run by Yashwant Shinde, a national-level shooter and son of former MLA Sanjay Mama Shinde. Sanjay Shinde welcomed Kakade during the visit.

Kakade also practised shooting at the centre and said the session brought back memories of his earlier association with the sport.

“Shooting is not just a sport for me; it is a passion that I have nurtured for many years. I had been away from it for some time, but I have now resumed training with full preparation. I will participate in the National Championship to be held in Delhi in November. While fulfilling my responsibilities in public life, I am also trying to pursue this longstanding passion once again,” Kakade said.
