Pune: Tempo Traveller-Bike Collision Claims Hotel Employee’s Life in Mundhwa
Mundhwa, 30th September 2026: A 34-year-old hotel employee died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Tempo Traveller at Z Corner in Lonkar Vasti, Pune, on Wednesday night, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Anuj Bahiragi, who was riding a motorcycle. The accident occurred at around 9 pm when the motorcycle collided with a Tempo Traveller.
Bahiragi sustained serious injuries in the accident and was taken to Sassoon General Hospital, where he was declared dead, police said.
“The deceased’s relatives reside in Uttarakhand. We contacted them and informed them about the incident. They are expected to reach Pune on Thursday morning,” said Smita Wasnik, Senior Police Inspector, Mundhwa Police Station.
Police have taken the Tempo Traveller driver, Akshay Hindurao Jadhav, 34, into custody. Further legal proceedings and registration of a case are underway, Inspector Wasnik said.
Police are conducting further investigation to establish the circumstances leading to the collision.
