Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Choubey Conferred With President’s Police Medal
Pimpri-Chinchwad, 9th October 2026: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey was conferred with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service at an investiture ceremony held at Darbar Hall, Lok Bhavan, Mumbai, on Friday.
Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma presented the medal to Choubey during the ceremony held at 3 pm on 9th October. The award was originally announced on 15th August 2023, when he was serving as the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner.
Choubey was among three senior police officers from Maharashtra selected for the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2023. The other recipients announced that year included Additional Director General of Police Pravin Salunkhe and Amravati Range Inspector General of Police Jayant Naiknaware.
The President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service recognises a police officer’s record of service. It is distinct from the Police Medal for Meritorious Service and medals awarded for gallantry.
