CBI Conducts Searches at Munitions India Limited Headquarters in Pune

Pune, 13th October 2026: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at the corporate headquarters of Munitions India Limited (MIL), a Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, at Nyati Unitree near Gunjan Chowk in Yerwada, Pune.
According to sources, the searches began on Monday and continued until Tuesday evening at the MIL office as well as the residence of the company’s top brass.
The reason for the searches and the details of the case, if any, were not immediately available. Further details are awaited.
Munitions India Limited is a defence public sector undertaking headquartered in Pune and operates under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It was formed in 2021 through the corporatisation of the erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board into seven DPSUs. It is 100% owned by the Government of India and manufactures ammunition, explosives, rockets, bombs, and related products for the Indian Armed Forces, paramilitary forces, and exports. It operates 12 manufacturing units across India.
