From Elpro’s First Archery Batch to Asian Games Gold: Alumna Prithika Pradeep Wins Gold for India in Japan
Pune, 14th October 2026: Elpro International School is proud to celebrate its alumna Prithika Pradeep, who has won a gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 in Nagoya, Japan, as part of India’s women’s compound archery team.
Prithika, along with Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Chikitha Taniparthi, defeated China 238 to 234 in a thrilling final. The team’s score of 238 equalled the world record set by South Korea in 2014. Earlier, the trio edged past South Korea 234 to 233 in a closely fought semifinal. For Prithika, this was her very first Asian Games appearance.
Prithika’s journey began at Elpro International School, where she was part of the school’s very first archery batch. It was here that her talent was spotted and nurtured from an early age by Sonal Bundele, Sports Teacher and Archery Coach at Elpro, who also serves as Joint Secretary of the Maharashtra Archery Association and Secretary of the Pimpri
Chinchwad Archery Association.
“Prithika’s gold is a beautiful reminder of what becomes possible when a child’s spark is noticed early and given every opportunity to grow. From our very first archery batch to the Asian Games podium, her journey reflects the discipline, belief and hard work we hope to nurture in every Elpro student. We are immensely proud of her,” said Dr. Amrita Vohra,
Director Principal, Elpro Group of Schools.
Prithika’s win has been celebrated across Pimpri Chinchwad as a new chapter in the city’s sporting history.
Elpro International School, Pune, is a premium K to 12 institution offering CBSE, Cambridge (CAIE) and IB programmes across its Chinchwad and Hinjawadi campuses.
