Pune, 24th October 2026: Celebrating imagination, confidence, and the power of new ideas, TEDxTheOrbisSchool brought together young aspiring speakers under the inspiring theme “Extra in the Ordinary.” The event provided a platform for students to share their thoughts, explore fresh perspectives, and demonstrate how everyday experiences can lead to meaningful ideas.

With 108 enthusiastic speakers participating in the selection process, 18 students were shortlisted to present their talks on stage. Bringing together young participants aged 12–18 from various schools, the event highlighted the importance of giving young people a voice and encouraging them to express their ideas with confidence.

The selected speakers — Divyansh Bohra, Armaan Ali Raj, Agraja Shelke, Shraddha Pagire, Dhruv Bhat, Anika Desai, Arham Sanghavi, Sarrah Dhariwala, Sarah Sony, Sahasra Samayamantri, Savi Bogewar, Atharva Nema, Shaima Pathan, Atharva Arora, Shourya Daga, Chaitanya Saini, Saachi Thadhani, and Tanmay Bhardwaj — shared their individual perspectives and interpretations of the world around them. Their presentations reflected the courage to speak up, the creativity to explore different viewpoints, and the willingness to inspire others through their ideas.

The discussions covered a diverse range of themes, from the importance of gratitude and learning through failure to sustainability, creativity despite limitations, the significance of small moments, and finding value in being average. Each talk invited the audience to reconsider familiar experiences and recognise the possibilities that often go unnoticed in everyday life.

Beyond the presentations, the event celebrated the confidence and determination required to stand before an audience and communicate an idea. TEDxTheOrbisSchool placed emphasis on self-expression, preparation, and the value of sharing individual perspectives, creating an environment where participation and learning were as important as the talks themselves.

The occasion was further enriched by the presence of Chief Guest Dhiraj Gugale, IDAS, Joint Director, NADFM, Pune, along with other dignitaries. Their presence underscored the importance of nurturing young talent and creating opportunities for students to develop skills beyond the classroom. The event encouraged participants to engage with different perspectives, strengthen their critical-thinking abilities, and appreciate the diversity of ideas.

The successful execution of the programme was made possible through the collective efforts of the organising team, teachers, student volunteers, and support staff, whose coordination helped ensure a positive and engaging experience for speakers and attendees.

TEDxTheOrbisSchool was more than an opportunity to speak on stage; it was a celebration of curiosity, original thinking, and the impact of sharing ideas. The event reinforced the belief that meaningful change can begin with something as simple as a new perspective, a thoughtful question, or a closer look at an everyday experience.

Through its celebration of individuality, creativity, and young voices, TEDxTheOrbisSchool highlighted how ordinary moments can inspire extraordinary ideas when young people are encouraged to think differently, express themselves, and be heard.
