Mumbai, 27th October 2026: French business school KEDGE Business School is offering Indian students a route to international management education through its Mumbai campus at Vijaybhoomi University, combining study in India with opportunities for academic exposure in France.

According to Dr Navneet Sharma, Director (India), KEDGE at Vijaybhoomi University, the institution’s India presence is driven not only by student demand but also by growing business links between India and France.
More than 1,000 French business establishments operate in India, while over 150 Indian companies operate in France, Sharma said. These businesses need professionals who understand the markets, business cultures and working practices of both countries.

As KEDGE Director General Alexandre de Navailles noted during his visit to India in February 2026, familiarity with French business culture and training can give graduates an advantage, Sharma said.

The institution aims to bring its international management education closer to Indian students while offering pathways for those who wish to pursue further studies in France.

Global BBA offers three-year study option in India

KEDGE’s Global Bachelor of Business Administration (Global BBA), offered through its collaboration with Vijaybhoomi University, allows students to complete a three-year programme in India, following a curriculum shaped by KEDGE’s international academic approach.

The annual tuition fee is Rs 6 lakh, taking the total tuition cost to Rs 18 lakh over three years. Hostel and food expenses are estimated at Rs 4.5 lakh for the three-year period, according to Sharma.

Students can also opt for a short academic immersion in France, providing exposure to European culture and business practices without requiring them to complete the entire undergraduate programme overseas.

Sharma said the India-based route allows students to build their academic and professional foundations locally while retaining international study options.

For comparison, the costs of studying in France include annual tuition of 15,000 euros and estimated living expenses of 21,600 euros, according to the figures provided by KEDGE. Students and families would need to compare the overall costs based on the duration of study, accommodation and other expenses.

3+1+1 pathway offers a route to postgraduate study in France

Students seeking a longer academic experience in Europe can consider a 3+1+1 pathway. Under this route, students complete three years of undergraduate study in India, followed by the first year of a master’s programme in India and the second year in France.

The pathway is intended to provide international exposure at the postgraduate level while allowing students to complete a substantial part of their education in India.

The exact degree awarded depends on the approved structure of the selected programme, Sharma said.

Students completing eligible master’s qualifications in France may also qualify to apply for a post-study job-search or business-creation residence permit, subject to the applicable qualification and immigration requirements.

However, such provisions offer an opportunity to seek employment or establish a business and do not guarantee a job.

Supply chain and sports management programmes

KEDGE Mumbai also offers master’s programmes in supply chain management and sports management. According to the institution, both programmes were ranked second in their respective categories in the 2025 world rankings.

Sharma said the rankings reflect the programmes’ standing but should not be interpreted as a guarantee of employment or career progression.
He said the institution’s international academic experience in supply chain and sports management is being made accessible to students in India, allowing them to study these fields locally.

Career outcomes, he added, depend on factors including students’ skills, internships, academic performance and the opportunities they pursue.

Multidisciplinary campus in Karjat

Located at Vijaybhoomi University in Karjat, the campus offers business students opportunities to interact with peers from technology, engineering, design, law and other disciplines.

According to Sharma, the multidisciplinary environment can encourage students to work across fields, reflecting the way businesses operate.
For instance, supply chain management students can gain exposure to technology and analytics, while sports management students can interact with peers working in design, media and technology. Students interested in entrepreneurship can also explore ideas across disciplines.

The residential campus offers a university-based learning environment while remaining connected to the wider Mumbai economic region, Sharma said.

Internships, industry links and global alumni network

KEDGE Mumbai’s employability approach focuses on industry interaction, live projects and internships during the programme rather than leaving career preparation until graduation.

Sharma said the institution aims to connect Vijaybhoomi University’s relationships with Indian industry to KEDGE’s international alumni network and corporate partnerships.

KEDGE reports having 90,000 alumni worldwide and 300 corporate partners. These networks can help students access professional connections in India and overseas, although internships and placements are not guaranteed.

The objective is to combine local industry exposure with international academic and professional connections, Sharma said.

Who should consider KEDGE Mumbai?

According to Sharma, KEDGE Mumbai may appeal to students who want an international business education but prefer to begin their studies in India.

The model allows families to manage the initial cost of education in India while retaining options for a short academic immersion in France or a postgraduate pathway involving study there.

Compared with a conventional Indian business degree, the programme offers an international academic framework and potential overseas study opportunities. Compared with completing an entire degree abroad, it allows students to undertake a substantial portion of their education in India.

The choice, Sharma said, should depend on students’ academic goals, financial circumstances and interest in international exposure.

For prospective students and families, the key considerations include the programme’s approved degree structure, total tuition and living costs, eligibility for overseas pathways and the practical opportunities available for internships and employment.

KEDGE’s India offering seeks to combine international business education with the flexibility of beginning a student’s academic journey closer to home.
