Mohammadwadi, 27th October 2026: Work on the slope along Palace Orchid Road in the Mohammadwadi-Undri area has begun, with Ward 41 corporator Nivrutti Anna Bandal inspecting the site and stressing the need for construction quality, road safety and timely completion.
The development is expected to address road-related concerns in the area, where rapid residential growth has increased the demand for improved civic infrastructure.
During his visit, Bandal reviewed the ongoing work and emphasised that the project should be executed with proper planning and attention to long-term durability. He said residents should be able to travel safely and conveniently, and that necessary precautions must be taken to minimise inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians during construction.
“Starting the work is a positive step, but its quality is equally important. The concerned departments must ensure proper execution and take the necessary precautions to prevent inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians,” Bandal said.
He also congratulated Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram for initiating the work, stating that timely action by the civic administration on citizens’ infrastructure concerns deserved appreciation.
Bandal said coordination between elected representatives and civic officials was essential to resolving local problems. He added that civic projects should be completed to the required standards and that similar attention should be given to other pending infrastructure issues in Mohammadwadi and Undri.
“Citizens pay taxes and expect good roads and basic civic facilities in return. Development must be visible on the ground. Our responsibility is to raise people’s concerns and follow up with the administration until practical solutions are delivered,” he said.
Residents now expect the slope work to be completed on schedule, with adequate attention to construction quality and road safety.
