Criteria to open university needs 5 years experience
HE Minister Shri Gupta directs
Bhopal : Higher and Technical Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta has said that permission to open university would be given only to those ongoing for a period of minimum 5 years. Shri Gupta directed this at a meeting of Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission here today.
Shri Gupta said that if inspection is not got done through UGC for starting new university then the state government would release permission only after undertaking inspection. He directed to deposit fee realised from students of private universities with Regulatory Commission and Higher Education Fund at the earliest. He also directed for necessary amendments in Private Universities Ordinance at an early date.
Minister of State for Higher Education Shri Deepak Joshi, Principal Secretary Higher Education Shri K.K. Singh, Commissioner Higher Education Shri Umakant Umrao and Commission’s Chairman Dr. Akhilesh Pandey attended the meeting.
