1025 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 48,366 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 4 August 2021: A total of 1025 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1396 people were discharged from hospitals. 11 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 48,366 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8972 active patients in the district and 4972 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4000 are in home isolation. Out of 1025 new cases, 249 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 172 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 106 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 6 in cantonments, and 492 in rural areas.

 

Among the 11 deaths, six were in PMC, one was in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and three were in rural areas. Out of 1396 discharged patients, 250 were in PMC, 185 were in PCMC, 154 were in municipal councils, 11 were in cantonments, and 796 were in rural areas.
