541 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 53,768 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 8th October 2021: A total of 541 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 653 people were discharged from hospitals. 08 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
Today, A total of 53,768 COVID vaccine doses were administered in the Pune district today taking the total vaccination doses to date to 1,10,03,525. About 73,41,917 people have got the first dose while 36,61,608 people have got two doses.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 5595 active patients in the district and 3649 of them are admitted to hospitals while 1946 are in home isolation. Out of 541 new cases, 125 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 104 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 42 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 08 in cantonments, and 262 in rural areas.
Among the 08 deaths, three were in PMC, two were in PCMC, and three were in rural areas. Out of 653 discharged patients, 155 were in PMC, 149 were in PCMC, 57 were in municipal councils, 08 were in cantonments, and 284 were in rural areas.
