A laborer on his way to Maharashtra from Chhapra (Bihar), hungry for 5 days

Koderma (Jharkhand), March 29, 2020: Amidst the corona virus infection and lockdown, different photographs of daily wage laborers from different parts of the country are being seen, a picture was also seen today in Koderma when a labourer from Chhapra in Bihar is walking all the way to Maharashtra.

The youth reached Jhumri Tilaiya, 236 km from Chhapra, on Saturday. After 5 days of hiking, the hungry thirsty young man Sheikh Mushtaq was noticed by Rahul Kumar, a worker of Solid Waste Management department. He informed this to ward councilor Anurag Singh and with his help, Mushtaq was given food.

At present, the youth has been kept near the city council office and the health department team has been informed for medical examination. Ward councilor Anurag Singh said that the condition of the young man was very bad and due to hunger, he was unable to even walk. After feeding the young man, he was given food items by the local youths.

Kaushlesh Kumar, the executive officer of the city council, also questioned the youth and said that those who are trying to return to their homes on foot from other states need not panic.

The district administration is ready to help such people. After checking, food and shelter was arranged for him.
