Pune, August 27, 2020: Due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic, everyone is celebrating Ganesh festival by following all the rules and taking all safety measures. A young boy from Pune has come up with a robot named ‘Aarti’ which performs aarti for you.

Vinit Deshmukh, a class XI student residing in Bavdhan made a robot which not only performs aarti but also plays bell, tasha traditional musical instruments.

Vinit had created several robots before, but the idea behind making this Aarti robot was unique. While following all safety norms during Ganeshotsav, sanitising the aarti plate is not safe, which motivated Vinit to design this robot. Robot Aarti does the work of four people, as it performs aarti and plays music instruments played during aarti like bell and Tasha. Secondly, the Aarti Robot is very useful for the physically challenged people, as on one click this Aarti robot will perform aarti for them.

Robot Aarti works on atmega8 programming board and C++ programming language, the basic structure of the robot is made of steel. Vinit has assembled the robot on his own using the programming board.

Since he was in class III, Vinit has had this love for robots. Earlier, he has also made a model for Cataract Surgery, line-following robots, etc. In the future, he wishes to work in the IT sector and stay associated with robotics, its coding and mechanism.
