A separate information desk will be set up in Mantralaya for deaf people : Dhananjay Munde

Mumbai, 3rd Feb 2020 : A separate desk will be set up in Mantralaya to solve the problems faced by deaf people. Sign language experts will be available at this desk to give them information about government decisions, informed Social Justice & Special Assistance Minister Dhananjay Minister today.

Shri. Munde spoke in the meeting held in Mantralaya to discuss various demands kept by State Deaf Association.

Shri. Munde told that the decision to deploy sign experts for deaf students and for their higher education will be taken. The standard of deaf schools will be improvised. Possibility of ITI similar-training course for deaf students will be discussed with the Technical Education Department and a decision will be taken. The government is positive about starting a sign language degree course. Copies of Divyang-related G.R. will be forwarded to deaf schools and NGOs working for deaf people. Trained teachers will be employed in deaf schools. Shri. Munde also said that the government is committed to provide materialist as well as educational facilities to deaf people.
