A Week Long of Thanksgiving in February 18-24 by Sadhu Vaswani Mission

Sadhu Vaswani Mission, continuing its tradition, will observe the ‘Thanksgiving Week’ from the 18^th – 24^th February 2020, at the Pune headquarters and at many of its centres worldwide.

Thanksgiving Week, 2020 will include an array of activities and programmes including guided meditation by Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani, recorded talks by Sadhu Vaswani & Dada Vaswani, Shiv Mahima bhajans & kirtan on the sacred occasion of Mahashivrati, Senior Citizens Meet, ‘Ask Alexa’ play by ‘Gurukul’ Children’s Wing of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission & seva activities including concessional treatments at the Sadhu Vaswani Health Care Centers.

Programme Details:

• Tuesday, Feb 18^th — 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm: Tranquil Tuesday — a trendy mix of kirtan & meditation. Singer Pratish Mhaske at the vocals & meditation on gratitude by Dada J. P. Vaswani

• Wednesday, Feb 19^th — 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm: Bhajan Sandhya

• Thursday, Feb 20^th — 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm: Bhajans by acclaimed singer Kajal Chandiramani & Rev. Dada J. P. Vaswani’s Recorded talk in Sindhi

• Friday, Feb 21^st — 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm: Shiv Mahima on the sacred occasion of Mahashivrati & Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani’s talk

• Saturday, Feb 22^nd — 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm: Senior Citizen’s Meet — an event specially organised to honor the elderly that includes talks, performances and prasad.

• Sunday, Feb 23^rd — 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm: Alexa: Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita: a children’s play by Gurukul Children — Children’s Wing of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission.

• Monday, Feb 24^th — 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm: Mahamantra Kirtan

Sadhu Vaswani Mission dedicates a week-long programs based on gratitude to the Lord for the well-being of families and the society at large. This tradition started in 1998, as a thanksgiving to the Lord for the new life bestowed on Dada Vaswani, after he underwent a successful quadruple by-pass surgery on February 18, 1998 and again in May 2010, where he had a fall with major fractures. But through all the injuries, surgeries and intense pain, Dada’s face always wore a smile and the words ‘Thank You God’ were constantly on his lips and he humbly took every opportunity to teach invaluable lessons on the matters of gratitude and faith. During the Thanksgiving Week, his teachings are brought alive in a special way with an array of different forms of prayer, talks and special sevas making it a unique and glorious offering of gratitude to the Lord. The Thanksgiving Week, February 18 to 24, has now evolved into a major ‘Festival of Thanksgiving’. It gives everyone an opportunity to come together and grow in the best of attitudes: the attitude of gratitude, as Dada said.
