Pune, 1st Aug, 2018: Hyatt Pune, Kalyani Nagar; home to authentic culinary sojourns beings to Pune the exotic flavours from the streets of Thailand from 3rd – 12thAugust, 2018. AAHAN THAI, held in close association of the Thai Embassy, New Delhi and Tourism Authority of Thailand. The festival will not only showcase an array of authentic and sumptuous Thai cuisine but will recreate a cultural experience for the guest that goes beyond just food. Chef Surachai Arsarat, Thai National, connoisseur of Thai cuisine and the Thai specialty Chef at THAI SOUL at Grand Hyatt Kochi exclusively joins the award winning BAAN TAO, to spearhead the preparations at the festival.

The food festival will offer guests a visual delight as well as an explosion of unique flavours for the palate. Chef Surachai Arsarat, has meticulously designed a menu with a good mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from across Thailand. Complemented by fresh spices, the special Thai menu will feature dishes like PadThai Koong Sod, Som Tom Khao Neau Mamung, Southern Thai yellow curry, Chicken ginger rice amongst others.

Speaking on this association, Sumit Kumar – General Manager, Hyatt Pune said, “Food is very central to the Indian traveller’s experience in Thailand. Most travellers are very impressed by Thai cuisine and like to experiment with as much as possible with every subsequent trip to Thailand. We are glad to bring the food heritage in a form of a food festival for the people of Pune.”

The festival opens with a grand inaugural Dinner Event held in honour of Thailand’s Ambassador to India – H.E. Chutintorn Gongsakdi and his wife, visiting the award winning BAAN TAO to help promote the culture of Thailand.
