Bopodi, 19th November 2025: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced Anne Anish as its first woman candidate in Pune for the upcoming PMC elections. The announcement follows the official reservation of Ward 8 (Aundh–Bopodi) for women.

AAP Working President Ajit Phatake Patil made the declaration during the inauguration of the party’s new office in Aundh–Bopodi. Anne Anish, a social worker, has been engaged in initiatives related to road safety, public grievance redressal, and women’s safety.

Patil said Anne Anish has a record of integrity and strong grassroots outreach, adding that she is a suitable candidate to lead Ward 8 with transparent and citizen-centric governance.

With this announcement, AAP has begun its campaign by projecting a woman leader focused on civic issues and local development in Aundh–Bopodi.
