Ador Powertron Launches 500 MW Green Hydrogen Factory Yonder Hub in Pune

Pimpri Chinchwad, 9th January 2025: Ador Powertron Limited, a division of the Ador Group, has launched a new green hydrogen power source factory called Yonder Hub in Pune. The facility, inaugurated today has an annual production capacity of 500 MW and specializes in advanced transformer-rectifier technologies for powering electrolysers used in green hydrogen production.

Australian High Commissioner to India, Philip Green OAM, attended the inauguration, highlighting the growing collaboration between India and Australia in the energy transition sector. The event underscored the importance of international partnerships in addressing climate change and promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Key points of the launch include:

1) Yonder Hub’s focus is on MW-scale Transformers and Rectifiers using IGBT, SIC, and conventional Thyristor technologies.
2) The facility’s alignment with India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based power by 2030.
3) Ador Group’s commitment to investing over Rs 50 Cr in expanding Yonder Hub over the next three years.
4) The factory’s initial production focuses on meeting European demand while contributing to India’s renewable energy goals.

Ravin Mirchandani, Chairman of Ador Powertron Ltd, emphasized the significance of Yonder Hub for India’s green energy aspirations and its support for the country’s climate action framework, ‘Panchamrit’.

The launch of Yonder Hub builds on Ador’s existing expertise in energy transition technologies, including battery development and DC fast chargers for export to G7 economies. This new facility further strengthens Ador Group’s position in the power technology sector for energy transition.

The India-Australia relationship has evolved into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on critical minerals investment. This collaboration aims to strengthen both nations’ energy security and foster long-term cooperation in vital sectors.
