AFMC Pune Commissions 55th Batch of Military Nursing Officers

Wanowrie, 24th May 2025: The commissioning ceremony of 55th batch of Nursing graduates from College of Nursing Armed Forces Medical College Pune was held on 24 May 2025 at Capt Devashish Sharma Kirti Chakra Parade Ground, AFMC. The event marked a milestone in the lives of 41 accomplished Nursing graduates, who are now proudly commissioned as lieutenants in the esteemed Military Nursing Service.

The Reviewing officer and chief guest for the event was Lt Gen Pankaj P Rao, Director and Commandant AFMC. This momentous occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, HODs of AFMC, dignitaries from the civil, proud and beaming parents, as well as senior officers and Nursing officers from the Pune Garrison, all gathered to witness this delighted chapter in the cadets’ journey.

Addressing the newly commissioned nursing officers as they embarked on their noble professional journey, the Chief Guest underscored their pivotal role within the healthcare team. With words of inspiration, he urged them to uphold an unwavering commitment to excellence and to serve their clientele with compassion, integrity, and selfless dedication.
