Afzal Khan’s Death Scene In Ganeshotsav Celebration Finally Allowed By Pune Police
Kothrud, 24th August 2022: The Kothrud police station has finally given permission for the scene of Afzal Khan’s death in Ganeshotsav celebration.
Sangam Mitra Mandal had sought permission from the police in this regard. However, citing law and order, it was disallowed. Now, the Kothrud police have withdrawn the letter and allowed the Mandal to stage the concerned scene.
During Ganeshotsav, the Sangam Mitra Mandal had asked permission from the police to present the scene of Afzal Khan’s death to show the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to the devotees.
In this regard, from time to time, the Mandal followed up with the police. Today Kothrud police have withdrawn the letter given on August 20.
According to this, the police have instructed the Mandal to ensure that the conditions are not violated during Ganeshotsav.
“Sangam Mitra Mandal had demanded the moving act of Afzal Khan’s death in Ganeshotsav. Accordingly, the concerned mandal has suggested maintaining law and order and observing the rules and conditions,” said Mahendra Jagtap, Senior Police Inspector, Kothrud Police Station.
