AI Tools To Recreate Pune Porsche Crash For Court Evidence, Two Firms Shortlisted

Pune, 3rd June 2024: Pune City Police previously announced the development of a simulated model recreating the accident scenario using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, which will be presented as technical evidence during the trial.
“We have shortlisted two firms for this task—one from Hyderabad and another from Bangalore—and will soon finalize the selection. We believe this simulated model will serve as corroborative evidence,” a senior police officer told Punekar News.
Police highlighted that AI-based technologies enhance pattern recognition, visual analysis, and the accuracy of crime scene reconstruction, aiding in the creation of a detailed simulated model of the incident.
Around 2:30 a.m. on May 19, a 17-year-old boy, driving a Porsche while under the influence of alcohol, collided with a motorcycle in Kalyani Nagar, resulting in the deaths of IT engineers Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta.
