Air India Halts Tel Aviv Flights Until August 8 Due to Rising Tensions in the Middle East

New Delhi, 2nd August 2024: Air India announced on Friday that it has suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel, citing the escalating tensions in the Middle East. This suspension takes effect immediately and will continue through August 8.

“Given the current circumstances in parts of the Middle East, we are halting our scheduled flights to and from Tel Aviv effective immediately until August 8, 2024,” the airline said in a statement.

The airline emphasized its commitment to passenger safety and is offering support to those with confirmed bookings during this period by providing a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation fees.

Air India typically operates four flights per week from Delhi to Tel Aviv.

In an additional update on its website, Air India announced the cancellation of flights AI139 from Delhi to Tel Aviv and AI140 from Tel Aviv to Delhi on August 1 due to operational issues.

“Passengers booked on these flights will be offered a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused,” the airline stated.
