Akme Star Housing Finance Limited expands its footprints to Maharashtra

Pune, 4 December 2019: Akme Star Housing Finance Limited (Akme Star HFC), a housing finance company active in affordable housing finance space has announced that it is expanding its presence in Maharashtra. Akme Star HFC has been operating since more than a decade in Rajasthan and works with a business philosophy of providing financial assistance to first time home buyers who wish to purchase low cost housing units.

The expansion to the state of Maharashtra would be with the objective of providing demand side intervention at the retail level targeting end users in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) notified towns. The focus will be on residential projects where units qualify the criteria set by CLSS guidelines under the PMAY.

Akme star HFC has opened a branch in Pune situated at Patil Plaza, Mitra Mandal Chowk,Parvati-Pune. This office would act as a hub for adjoining locations including Pimpri Chinchwad, Daund, Katraj, Saswad, Chakan, Wagholi, Talegaon, Mahad and Baramati. The Company would be focusing on customers in EWS/LIG segment looking towards purchase / construction of own home. Akme Star HFC would offer housing loans up to Rs. 25 lakhs to these customers

Maharashtra has housing shortage of 5.0 million units (2 million units in Urban areas and 3 million units in Rural areas), more than 95% of which are in low cost housing segment. Hence, Maharashtra becomes a natural choice for Akme Star HFC for expansion. We have also recently opened our Corporate Head Office at Mumbai (Address). This office aims to serve the extended suburbs of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) including Vasai, Virar, Boisar, Palghar, Wada, Kalyan, Dombivali, Panvel, Murbad and Shahapur. We intend to open more physical branches in MMR and Pune region over the next few years as a part of our scale up program. Here too, we aim to provide housing finance assistance to deserving customers in EWS/LIG segment through our offerings and play a meaningful role in home ownership for these families”
