Alert Railway Protection Force Staff At Pune Station Save Fallen Passenger

Pune, 3rd September 2022: On Saturday morning, while alighting from the coach of Hussain Sagar Express leaving Pune Railway Station towards Mumbai, a passenger was about to fall between the platform and the railway track when their foot slipped from the footboard.

RPF Sub-Inspector SK Sharma, ASI Praful Kharche, and constable RK Sonkar showing their promptness and alertness, immediately pulled the passenger out and saved him from falling on the track. The passenger expressed his gratitude to the staff for saving his life.

 

 

 

Train No. 12702 Hussain Sagar Express arrived at Platform No. 03 of Pune Station and was leaving for its destination at 01.20 hrs when the incident occurred. The members of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) saved the passenger by immediately rushing to him and dragging him out by going under the train. After comforting him by seating him on platform number 03, they identified him as G. Krishna. He explained that he was travelling from Hyderabad to Pune and could not get off the train when it stopped at the station as he fell asleep. He fell when he tried to get down from the moving train.

Divisional Railway Manager Renu Sharma, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh, officers, employees, and passengers, felicitated the Railway Protection Force employees for their excellent humanitarian service.

 

The railway administration appeals to the passengers not to climb or descend a moving train as it can be fatal.
