All essential shops to open in Khadki from Friday, some areas declared micro containment zone

Khadki (Pune), May 14, 2020: The Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB) has declared the civil areas micro containment zone where most cases of Corona patients have been detected. Also, from tomorrow ie Friday, May 15, the essential commodities shops will be allowed to open for four hours. The total number of COVID patients has reached 29 out of which 19 have been cured while two have died.

KCB CEO Pramod Singh stated in a public notice, “This is for the information of the general public that Grocery shops, milk, mutton, chicken & fish shops and bakeries will be allowed to be opened from 15 May 2020 from 10 am to 2 pm. Dispensaries, Clinics, Medical Shops, Banks. ATMs & Petrol Pump will be functional as per previous timing. Above arrangements will be continued till further orders. The general public is requested to follow social distancing strictly.”

Also, micro containment zone has been declared in Khadki Cantonment area. The entire civil area including Dargah Vasahat, Indira Nagar Vasahat and Defence Qtrs 6/1, 6/2 , 8/1, 8/2 & 8/3 on the junction of Arjun road and (Shahid Marg) Duncan Road fall under micro containment zone. The remaining portion like Range Hills, BEG, Sapras, Line Bazar, Ammunition Factory, HE Factory, Ordnance Estates, 512 Army Base Workshop, CAFVD, bungalow area etc will be out of micro containment zone with restrictions as imposed by Competent Authority from time to time.
