Mumbai, 17 July 2019:- As per the directions of election commission of India, the task of preparing photo electoral voters list has started in all the Assembly constituencies of the state under second special summary revision program. This program will end on 19th August 2019. The voters whose names, addresses are been wrongly mentioned in the voters list will get an opportunity to rectify them. The voters lists were displayed on 15 July 2019 based on the registration of voters on 1st January 2019. The voters whose names are not included in this electoral list can file an application for their enrollment. If anybody has any objection about name or any changes and amendment in the names and addresses can file application till 30th of July 2019 with the electoral registration office (ERO) office of every assembly constituency.
13th August 2019 will be the last date for registering of claims and objections and updating of database will be done on 16th of August. 19th August 2019 will be the date for publishing the amended electoral list. During the summary revision program 20, 21st, 27 and 28 July are public holidays. On these days, special campaign will be held at the polling centre.
Notably, the election commission of India (E C I) has deleted names of many voters from the voters list in the state. These included the voters who have registered their names multiple times or have died or shifted to other places. The list of the deleted names is also made available at the district magistrate and district election officers office.
All the political parties can deployed there booth level agent (BLA) for every Assembly election constituency and can help in making the amended list in coordination with the booth level officer (BLO) of the state government so that the list is accurate and complete.
