Anurag Kashyap, Comedian Kunal Kamra Showed Up At Republic Office To Give Arnab Framed Chappal, Entry Denied

Mumbai, September 10, 2020: On the occasion of Kashyap’s birthday, he decided to show up at the Republic office run by Arnab Goswami along with friend and comedian Kunal Kamra.

They had bought with them two photos of slippers framed as an award for the Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami for his excellence in journalism.

Kamra posted their image outside the office on Twitter and said, “Birthday boy @anuragkashyap72 & me went to the @republic’s office to give Arnab an excellence in journalism award… Republic security said bina permission ke allowed nahi hai…”

The director also shared a message and tweeted, “Best birthday everrr .. उसने पूछा था , “किधर हूँ मैं ?” तो मैं गया । बोला बिना permission अलाउड नहीं है । यह @republic वालों को भी permission लेना चाहिए ना”

This move came as a retort because Goswami’s channel and journalistic approach in the death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been receiving flak from some people.

Also, on Wednesday Republic TV’s two journalists and a cab driver were arrested for trespassing on Uddhav Thackeray’s farmhouse in Bhilavale.
