April 12: Check area wise number of Coronavirus positive patients in Pune

Pune, April 12, 2020: As per the information available Pune district health officer, the total number of Coronavirus Positive patients has reached 284 till 7 pm today. A total of 30 of them have died, while 38 have been cured and discharged from hospitals.

According to officials, out of 282, there are 240 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) areas, 30 from PCMC areas, 2 from Pune Cantonment Board, one from Khadki cantonment and 11 from Pune rural areas.

Today 15 new patients were detected positive and 11 of them are admitted at Naidu Hospital, two at Sassoon Hospital, one each at Ruby Hall Clinic and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC).

Two patients died at Sassoon hospital during treatment today. They include a 58-year-old woman from Sangamwadi and a 56-year-old woman from Somwar Peth. They were also suffering other ailments besides being Coronavirus positive.

One 42-year-old man who was suffering from Alcoholic cirrhosis died at YCM hospital in Pimpri. He had tested positive for COVID19. This is the first death in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

According to Maharshtra health department, 221 new COVID19 cases and 22 deaths reported in the state today. The total number of COVID19 cases in the state now stands at 1982.


There has been an increase of 918 new #COVID19 cases and 31 deaths in last 24 hours across the country taking India’s total number of #Coronavirus positive cases to 8447 (including 7409 active cases, 765 cured/ discharged/ migrated and 273 deaths), according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Meanwhile, 30 nurses have been put under quarantine at Ruby Hall Hospital after a 45-year-old nurse working here tested positive for COVID19. The nurse who has been tested positive had recently returned from leave and after she felt mild symptoms she was tested for COVID19 in which she was found positive, said Sanjay Pathare, Director, Medical Services, Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune.

According to sources, until now, around 90 doctors, nurses and paramedics staff have tested positive for #COVID19 across the country.

A total of 1,95,748 samples from 1,81,028 individuals have been tested as on 12 April 2020, 9 PM: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
