ARMS AND AMMUNITION EXHIBITION in RANGE HILLS Pune
Ammunition Factory Khadki is celebrating Ordnance Factory Day. To commemorate the above, an exhibition of Arms and Ammunition has been organized at ‘Anand Bhavan’, Range Hill Estate, Khadki on 16/03/2019 to 18.03.2019. This exhibition shall be open for the public without any entrance fee.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Shri Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, Sr. General Manager, AFK on 16/03/2019 at 18.00 hrs and will be kept open to the public on:-
16/03/2019 from 18.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs.
17.03.2019 from 10.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs.
18.03.2019 from 10.00 hrs to 19.00 hrs.
Blood Donation Camp has also been organised at Ordnance Factory Hospital, Khadki as part of the celebration on 18.03.2019 from 9.30 hrs to 13.30 hrs.
Every year 18th March is observed as “Ordnance Factory Day” as the first Ammunition producing factory was established on 18th March 1802 at Cossipore (Kolkata) in the name of ‘Gun and Shell Factory’, under the aegis of Ministry of Defence.
