ASK Group to raise USD 1 billion from offshore market; appoints Mr. Evan Gallagher as CEO of its Singapore operations

Ask GroupMumbai, 14th October, 2015: ASK Group, a diversified financial services firm with approximately USD3 Billion of funds under management and advisory, is expanding its global presence and plans to raise approximately USD 1 Billion from the offshore markets in the next 3 years. To support this growth, ASK Group today announced the appointment of Mr. Evan Gallagher as CEO and Executive Director of ASK Capital Management Private Limited (“ASK Capital Management”), a Singapore based subsidiary of ASK Group. In his new role, Mr. Gallagher will lead the international capital markets approach for ASK Group’s Listed Equity, Real Estate Investments and Private Equity businesses. Prior to joining ASK Group, he was the CEO of IDFC Capital (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. whilst at the same time he created and lead the Investor Management Group for IDFC Limited’s Alternatives Business which manages in excess of USD3 billion.

At ASK Capital Management, Mr. Gallagher will explore strategies and offerings  for the regions including Europe, Asia, GCC and Africa with a focus on the development of pathways for international institutional investors to access the opportunities that India presents through the ASK Group platform.

Mr. Gallagher is an experienced financial services professional with over 17 years of professional experience. Prior to his successful tenure at IDFC, Mr. Gallagher headed Investor Relations and Fund Raising for Allco Finance Group Limited where he co-lead the raising of public and private market funds including Singapore’s first cross border Real Estate Investment Trust which ultimately managed over SGD1.8 billion in assets. Mr Gallagher holds undergraduate and post graduate qualifications from Macquarie University and Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia.
