Atheists’ Conference To Be Held On Pune On 18th December

Pune, 16th December 2022: The Brights’ Society is organising the sixth edition of the Atheists’ Conference on 18th December in Pune. The earlier conferences were organised in collaboration with the University of Mumbai, Savarkar Memorial, Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan, and others. This year’s conference is being held at Kale Hall, Gokhale Institute, BMCC Road, Pune, between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm.

 

Narendra Nayak, president of the Federation of Indian Rationalist Associations (FIRA) and Alka Dhupkar, assistant editor of TOI+, will be felicitated at the conference.

 

The conference will be attended by Uttam Niraula of Humanists International, Asim Sarode (constitution and human rights analyst), Avinash Patil (Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti), Dr Vishwambhar Chaudhari (Environmentalist), Aniket Sule (Scientist), Abhijit Chanda (Journalist), Ajit Abhyankar (Academician), Anand Karandikar (Vicharvedh), and various other dignitaries.

 

The Brights’ Society has been established to educate society about Rationalism, to facilitate communication and cooperation among the atheists of India, and to help solve the problems faced by them.

 

Brights’ Society has been organising Meetings, Conferences, Lectures, Talks, Discussions, Workshops, and other events, since 2014, which have been receiving an enthusiastic response from the public.

 

The speakers invited by the society include educationists, artists, writers, editors, columnists, legal experts, politicians, scientists, social workers and influential people from various walks of life. The society has also published a book in Marathi.
