‘ATS is doing Jihad, Jihad Al-Akbar’
Pune, January 3 – “Islam doesn’t teach terrorism, Islam teaches humanity, love for living beings” said ACP Bhanupratap Barge, in charge of Pune unit of the state anti-terrorism (ATS).
He was speaking at a program ‘responsible use of social media’ organized by Bandhubhav Bhaichara group founder Shabir Shaikh in association with New Grace English School at Kondhwa on Saturday. Over 600 persons had gathered at the event.
The dignitaries present on the occasion included Kari Idris, Mr Shahid (VP Jamiat Uleema, Pune) and Police inspector Anjum Bagwan of Kondhwa police station.
ACP Barge added, “We Indians were very strongly connected in earlier period, did many activities together but now due to some religious and political leaders we are getting diverted. We should avoid distance from such leaders who talk on the bases of religion.”
He further said that ATS is doing Jihad, Jihad Al-Akbar (greatest Jihad: Combat with the Self).ACP Barge also spoke about Shivaji Maharaj’s team. “Muslims nahi hote toh Shivaji Maharaj nahi hote, Maharaj nahi hote toh Maharashtra nahi hota,” ACP Barge added.
He also gave examples of Mahatma Gandhi and his Pathan supporters and Jamiat-Ulama-E
-Hind’s sacrifices during freedom movement.
We are open to help people in all possible ways. More Muslim youths to join Maharashtra Police as recruitment process is about to start. ATS will guide youths if they need any help. Join services and fight for the development of community”, Barge added.
Talking about brainwashing of youths by terrorists, he added, “Parents must keep special watch on their children’s behavior, if they feel any negativity they must take them to the right person or should not hesitate to approach ATS, we’ll do justice with them.”
It is appealed that everyone including ATS and police should perform Jihad al Akbar to overcome on bad things from one himself.
