ATS Release Picture Of Absconding Accused Shahnawaz In Pune Terror Suspects Case
Pune 4th August 2023: The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) team of Maharashtra on Friday released the pictures Mohammad Shahnawaz Shafiurrehman Alam, an accused absconding in a case related to terror suspects arrested from Pune. The accused had escaped at the time of arrest of the two other accused arrested in the case from Pune’s Kothrud on July 18.
The ATS officials had arrested Mohammad Imran Mohammad Yunus Khan and Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yakub Saki from Pune’s Kothrud and had revealed that both of them were in the list of ‘Most Wanted’ of NIA in a case registered in Rajasthan. It was later revealed during the investigation that the accused were planning bomb blasts and had conducted tests at the forests of Pune, Satara and Kolhapur. Explosive material was also recovered from their residence in Kondhwa.
Shahnawaz who was also with the arrested accused had managed to escape from police as they were being taken for house search. The case was later handed over to ATS and the investigation agency has formed teams to search for the accused.
