An Audio Visual Hall built in the premises of National War Memorial, Pune was inaugurated by Lt Gen Ashok Singh,GOC-in-C Southern Command on the auspicious occasion of Kargil Diwas on 26 Jul 2015. The Audio Visual Hall showcases the history of the Indian Army.
The Hall is called “Parmeswaran Hall” to honour Maj R Parmeswaran who laid down his life for the nation in Operation PAWAN in Sri Lanka on 25 November 1987 and was awarded the Param Vir Chakra.
In addition to the photos displayed, the visitors will also view a short film on contribution of the Indian Army to the Nation, both in war and peace. The Hall will be open to all public. The tentative timings of screening of film will be 9 AM , 12 AM, 3 PM and 6 PM daily.
