Aundh- Baner-Pashan-Bopodi breaches 1,000 COVID cases mark

Pune, 22 July 2020: Once touted as the green zone Baner, Pashan, Aundh, Sus Road, Sutarwadi, and Bopodi area has breached the 1,000 marks of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) cases. New cases have been found in housing societies.

 

The Aundh-Baner ward office of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has mentioned that there is a total of 1034 cases of COVID-19. 750 people have recovered while 262 people are still undergoing treatment. A total of 22 patients have died so far.

 

Prabhag 9 includes Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sutarwadi, Chavan Nagar, and other areas. In these areas, a total of 309 cases have been detected.

 

Aundh and Bopodi area comes under Prabhag 8, mostly consisting of slums and densely populated localities. Bopodi was the region where there were many COVID cases but now it is under control.

 

The nearby area Bhoite Vasti, Naik Chawl, Bopodi Gaothan all areas are less affected now. The other societies in these areas also have managed to control the spread of coronavirus. The cases reported were 725 out of which 618 patients have recovered, 91 people are still under treatment and 16 have died so far.
