Aundh District Hospital in Pune to Receive PM Modi for Inauguration of AYUSH and Critical Care Facilities

Aundh, 25th February 2024: On Sunday, February 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a new 30-bed AYUSH Hospital building as part of the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) and a 100-bed Critical Care Hospital building under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) initiative at the district hospital in Aundh. The inauguration ceremony will take place at Pune Aundh General Hospital, with the presence of State Health Minister, Maharashtra Health Minister Prof. Dr. Tanaji Sawant, and will be broadcast on television.

 

Dr Nagnath Yempalle, the district surgeon of Pune, has reported that an expenditure of Rs 8 crore 99 lakhs has been allocated for the construction of the 30-bed AYUSH hospital under the (NAM). The hospital is well-equipped with various facilities on the ground floor, including a yoga hall, waiting room, record room, cafeteria, procedure room, doctor’s room, chief doctor’s room, PGM Ayurveda room, sanitary room, medical officer homoeopathy, medical officer room, Yunani, laboratory, mud bath naturopathy, and naturopathy. Additionally, the hospital offers free services for Panchakarma, Ksharasutra, and other AYUSH treatments.

 

On the first floor, patients can access amenities such as Garbhsanskar hall, meeting hall, special room, sanitary room, decontamination room, medical officer room, scrub room, surgery room, recovery room, pre-operative vigilance room, male room, female room, waiting room, and nursing room. The comprehensive facilities aim to provide a holistic and well-rounded healthcare experience for the patients.

 

Prime Minister Modi is set to initiate the construction of a new 100-bed critical care hospital building at Aundh District Hospital under the PM-ABHIM initiative, with an administrative sanction of Rs 40.05 crore. The hospital design includes a range of essential facilities distributed across different floors, such as waiting rooms, medical rooms, main medical rooms, clinic rooms, examination rooms, storage rooms, laboratory rooms, newborn rooms, and wellness rooms on the ground floor.

 

Moving up to the first floor, there will be an isolation ward and an isolation doctor’s room. The second floor will feature areas dedicated to nurses, an operating theatre, and additional facilities like a Complex, High Dependency Unit (HDU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ensuring comprehensive care for patients. This hospital construction aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure and provide a wide array of services for the

community.
