‘Babujinchi Gaani’, a music competition on songs of Sudhir Phadke to be held in the city

Pune, September 12, 2018: On the occasion of the centenary celebration of Sudhir Phadke alias Babuji, Heritage Events by Santosh Potdar is organising ‘Babujinchi Gaani’, a music competition centred around songs of Babuji. Interested music enthusiast can participate in the competition with the first round starting from Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30 at 9 am will be held at the Heritage – The Art Legacy, situated on the 5th floor, Prasad building in Suzuki show room on Paud Road.

The competition is divided into three different age groups from 8 to 16 years, 17 to 40 years will and 40 years and above for both men and women. The first round will be judged expert panellist. While first, second and third winners from each group will be declared and will be given memento and Rs 5 lakh worth of prizes (in cash and kind). This information was shared by Santosh Potdar, founder, Heritage – The Art Legacy. There will be nominal entrance fee for the competition.

The winner of the competition will be honored at the program organized at Ganesh Kala Krida on October 21. In addition to this, the first prize winner of each group will also get an opportunity to sing an independent song in the presence of Babuji’s son, singer and composer Shridhar Phadke. Many celebrities of the city and the state will also be present for this program. The competition is going on under the guidance of Shridhar Phadke himself. The admission application for the tournament will be available from Thursday, September 13 in the city at Heritage- The Art Legacy at Paud Road.
