Babywearing Flash mob in Pune on 21 January
Pune – A Babywearing Flash mob will be organised on 21 January at Westend Mall,Aundh at around 6 pm. It will be hosted by a bunch of babywearing enthusiastic moms who want to spread awareness.
The purpose of the event is to promote ergonomic carriers and it’s benefit. With industrialization many non-ergonomical carriers are flowing in the market which are not comfortable or safe for both mother and baby.
“We want to make a point to that babywearing need not be an expensive thing or one that can only be practiced by the affluent. One can babywear easily in a simple cotton saree or dupatta just as easily. We are around 25 parents who will wear their babies in different kinds of carries viz ring slings, SSC, Meh Dai, Saree, stoles and will dance so as express the freedom that babywearing provides”, said Jahanvi Ballani.
