Bhosari: Youth Arrested With 37.5 Kg Marijuana Worth Rs 9.37 Lakh

Bhosari, October 12, 2020: The sleuths of Pimpri Chinchwad Crime Branch Unit-1 have arrested a youth for allegedly selling marijuana in Bhosari area on Saturday noon.
As much as 37 kg 500 gm of cannabis has been seized from his possession. The arrested youth has been identified as Purushottam Kalyani Datta (25), resident of Landewadi, Bhosari.
While patrolling in the jurisdiction of Bhosari police station, policeman Nitin Khese saw a man standing suspiciously with two sacks besides a tree at Shivshakti colony located in Bhosari.
Upon questioning him, they found two bags containing 37 kg and 500 grams of ganja (marijuana), worth Rs 9.37 lakh. The accused has confessed to the crime, informed police officials.
This action was taken under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sudhir Hiremath and Assistant Commissioner RR Patil. A team led by, Senior Inspector Uttam Tangde, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ravindra Gawande, and policemen Anand Bansode, Amit Gaikwad, Manoj Kumar Kamble, Maruti Jayabhaye, Anjanrao Sodgir, Nitin Khese, Ganesh Sawant, Vishal Bhoir and Anti-narcotics squad Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajan Mahadik, Rajendra Bamble.
