Pune, 4th January 2024: Dheeraj Ghate, the Pune city president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), issued a stern warning against Jitendra Awhad, accusing him of creating unrest in the Maharashtra state through baseless statements about Hinduism. Ghate emphasized that Awhad will not be allowed to freely move around in Pune.

The warning comes in response to Awhad’s controversial statement during the NCP (Sharad Pawar group) camp held in Shirdi, where he claimed that ‘Shri Ram was a meat-eater.’

Expressing strong condemnation, Ghate stated that the BJP strongly opposes the inflammatory remarks made by Awhad, which have hurt the sentiments of the entire Hindu community. He highlighted the insensitivity of such comments, especially at a time when the grand inauguration of the Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22.
