Kharadi, 25th May 2026: A blood donation camp was organised in Kharadi under the Jainam Jivika Foundation’s “Life Saver Army” initiative to encourage voluntary blood donation and spread awareness about community health and humanitarian service.

The camp was held on May 24, 2026, opposite Hotel OYO Galaxy Hospitality at Tulaja Bhawani Nagar in Kharadi, in collaboration with Akshay Blood Centre and with sponsorship support from Samiksha Foundation.

The event was dedicated to the memory of Smiksha Vishal Bekellu and witnessed participation from local residents and volunteers.

According to the organisers, a total of 26 people registered for blood donation during the camp. Out of them, 11 individuals successfully donated blood after completing the mandatory medical screening process.

Several participants, however, were found ineligible to donate due to low haemoglobin levels. Organisers said the camp also helped spread awareness about the importance of maintaining proper haemoglobin levels and overall health for safe blood donation.

They noted that some individuals who appeared physically healthy were still unable to donate blood because their haemoglobin levels did not meet the required criteria, underlining the importance of regular health check-ups and nutritional awareness.

Awareness activities were conducted throughout the programme to educate participants about the need for regular blood donation and its role in saving lives.

The organisers expressed gratitude to Samiksha Foundation for sponsoring the initiative, Akshay Blood Centre for providing medical support and all donors and volunteers who contributed towards the successful conduct of the camp.
