New Delhi, 20th March 2024: Volvo, the renowned Sweden car manufacturer, has unveiled its latest offering in the Indian market, the single motor variant of the XC40 Recharge. The company has officially commenced bookings for this highly anticipated vehicle.

Interested customers can now reserve their XC40 Recharge on the company’s official website for a nominal booking amount of Rs 1 lakh. This marks Volvo’s third electric vehicle introduction in India, proudly assembled within the country itself, showcasing the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.

In terms of features, the XC40 Recharge single motor variant had the interior adorned with a leather-free finish, emphasizing Volvo’s dedication to eco-conscious design. The vehicle is equipped with ADAS LED headlights, along with integrated Google Assistant, Google Play, and Google Maps functionalities. Additionally, Volvo’s proprietary Car App ensures seamless connectivity, while a high-performance sound system, comprising eight speakers, delivers immersive audio quality.

Safety remains paramount, with the inclusion of Volvo’s comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems. Features such as adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, lane-keep aid, and blind-spot information system augment driver confidence on the road. Furthermore, the XC40 Recharge incorporates seven airbags, a reverse camera, cross-traffic alert, and wireless smartphone charging capabilities.

Under the hood, the XC40 Recharge has the capability of 69kWh battery, providing an impressive WLTP range of 475 kilometers on a full charge. For extended journeys, the vehicle offers an ICAT range of 592 kilometers, ensuring ample coverage for diverse driving needs. Volvo stands behind its battery technology with an extensive warranty of eight years or 1,60,000 kilometers, affirming reliability and longevity.

Powering the XC40 Recharge is a formidable electric motor delivering 238 horsepower and 420 Newton-meters of torque, ensuring exhilarating performance while maintaining eco-friendliness.
