Brain dead patient’s heart,liver, kidneys to give new lease of life
“The patient was from Astor Hospital Kolhapur. Heart of the patient has gone to a medical facility in Mumbai, Liver to a hospital in Pune. One of the kidney has been donated to a patient in our Aditya Birla Hospital and one kidney was donated to a patient in their hospital only. The kidney has already reached our hospital and the transplant surgery has started. Its been donated to a 53 year old female”, shared Ms. Rekha Dubey, CEO, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital.“We are very thankful to the patients family for taking such a courageous step and saving so many lives. More families should come forward to donate organs and give a new lease of life to others”, she further added.
