Breast Cancer Awareness Camp held at Punyadham Ashram
23 December 2019, Pune- A Breast Cancer Awareness camp was organised at Punyadham Ashram, Kondhwa in association with Nag Foundation, Dr. Shona Nag (HOD-Oncology of Sahayadri Hospital, Hadapsar) on Friday 20th Dec. 2019. Women who attended from areas of Undri, Pisoli & Kondhwa were given a talk highlighting symptoms and do’s and don’ts. Many doubts were addressed personally by Dr. Nag, followed by a thorough examination and advice.
Chairperson Maa Krishna Kashyap said, “The word ‘Cancer’ is so frightening and especially with breast cancer – women are shy or have inhibitions towards addressing it. It is one of the most prevalent diseases these days and awareness about it is essential. The main objective of organising the camp was to spread awareness, remove fear from the minds of women and also to provide an opportunity for free checkups & counseling which is out of reach for the less-privileged”.
The camp was a huge success.
Inspite of her busy schedule, Dr. Nag went around the ashram with Maa & Ramesh Grover, and sought blessings in the mandirs and expressed that the atmosphere of the ashram was so peaceful and serene.
