British Council Library in Pune organizes free workshop on ‘Mindfulness at Work’
September 24 , 2019, Pune: The British Council Library in Pune is an inspiring knowledge centre and has been a go to place for Punekars for the past 60 years. It is a modern space which is more vibrant welcoming like-minded people who can come together to learn, explore and have thought-provoking discussions. The Library is organizing a workshop on ‘Mindfulness’, a much-needed practice in today’s fast-paced work environment. Suitable for working professionals, college students, homemakers and job seekers – the workshop is open for all members above the age of 18.
Research shows that increased stress at work leads to high levels of absenteeism, less engagement and all in all, less productivity at workplace. An antidote to counter negative effects of stress is by simply being mindful of it. This workshop, delivered by highly experienced psychologists – Anubha Doshi and Ghazala Ansari will focus on achieving the benefits of mindfulness through easy techniques, such as breathing techniques, therapeutic movement, group reflection and so on. By the end of workshop, attendees will be able to use mindfulness as a tool to achieve greater focus, resilience and improved relations at work, as well as at home.
