CBSE 10th Result 2021: Formula Ready To Give Marks In Additional Subjects For Class 10th Results

New Delhi, 26th May 2021: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has said that additional subject marks will be decided on the basis of three main subject marks while releasing class 10th results. For those students who have taken additional subjects, the marks of additional subjects will be given on the basis of marks in Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences. In this regard, the board has given necessary instructions to all schools.

The board has given students the option to take seven subjects in class X. In addition to the five core subjects (Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English, Hindi), students can take two additional subjects. IT, Skills may be a subject or another language as an additional subject. In such a case, now the marks of the additional subject will be taken from the main three subjects.

Results will be prepared based on the result of 2020

According to the board, two mathematics subjects were implemented in 2019. Many students took basic mathematics and many others took standard mathematics. In such a situation, the result of the mathematics subject will be prepared on the basis of the results of the 2020 session. The students taking basic mathematics will get marks on the basis of the marks obtained in basic mathematics. This process will apply in standard mathematics also.

Sanyam Bhardwaj (Controller of Examinations, CBSE) said, five main subject teachers have been placed in the result committee. Students will be awarded sixth and the seventh subject marks based on the main three subjects. Instructions have been given to the result committee for this.
