CDK Global India Rejoices at the 5th edition of their Family day event – CONVERGENCE 2020
Pune, 24th December 2019: CDK Global India, the leading global provider of integrated information technology solutions to the automotive retail industry and OEMs, celebrated its 5th Family Day, Convergence 2020 at Raga Lawns in Pune. The theme of the automotive based event was Join the Ride, which saw participation of over 1200 CDK employees along with their family members coming together as one big family. The event was aimed at celebrating the contributions of each employee and the extended families towards the success and growth of CDK Global (India).
Convergence 2020 started with a scrumptious Hi-Tea, lamp-lighting and a fun-filled kids’ carnival which kept the families engaged with a variety of stalls. The entertaining evening opened with a special performance by differently abled kids from Snehalaya, CDK’s CSR partners, which left the audience spellbound through their well-orchestrated movements. The two creative MCs hosted the show as Munna and Circuit from the famous movie Munnabhai MBBS and left the audience in splits. The entire show was successfully put-up up by the talented CDK employees and their family members along with the leaders playing an active role. From one of the families’, an elderly couple gave a lovable performance from the golden era apart from many enthusiastic kids. CDK India’s Managing Director, Arvind Chaturvedi sang melodious retro numbers and also shook a leg alongwith the CDK Management team who put up a special tribute to Amitabh Bachchan dancing to his all-time golden hits playing those iconic characters as the showstopper performance. There was a humorous skit ‘Basanti ka Swayamvar’ as a spoof to Sholay movie which were greatly enjoyed by all. There were extravagant dance, musical and ramp walk performances from all the regions in India on popular Bollywood numbers like Bala, Bala, Abusadamente, Apsara aali and Nagaada.
While addressing the employees and family members Arvind Chaturvedi, Managing Director, CDK Global India said, “This is an exciting time of the year as Convergence 2020 is a great opportunity for us to come together as one CDK family and celebrate our success in the company of our near and dear ones. During the event, the employees were recognized for their efforts and contributions by presenting awards including Dronacharya, You Make a Difference, SPARK and Silent STAR. Employees were bestowed with CPL (CrossJam Premier League) trophies as well. CrossJam is an employee engagement initiative by CDK India where collaboration based activities are organized by the employees. In the last part of the celebrations, the DJ opened the dance floor with all-time favorite hits, which made the audience groove to the tunes. The event came to a successful close with a scrumptious dinner.
