Now in its 5th year, this winter celebration brings the essence of the season to your plate, offering a curated menu of traditional delicacies that honor the rich culinary heritage of Gujarat and Rajasthan. The festival is a crowd favorite, drawing thousands of food enthusiasts annually who flock to savor the authentic flavors of winter.

Khandani Rajdhani, the iconic Thali restaurant, proudly hosted the world’s first-ever Undhiyu Mixing Ceremony, recently in Bengaluru. This large-scale event was a first-of-its-kind initiative, celebrating the winter season and the bounty of fresh, seasonal vegetables that come together to create Undhiyu, Gujarat’s most iconic and comforting dish. The event also marked the kickoff of Khandani Rajdhani’s much-awaited Swad Kesariya Festival, which celebrates the season with a curated menu of winter delicacies from Gujarat and Rajasthan.

At the heart of this festival is the Surti Undhiyu, a wholesome and flavorful winter delicacy made with fresh, seasonal vegetables like surti papdi, purple yam, raw bananas, and baby potatoes, slow-cooked with a medley of aromatic spices. Best enjoyed with Masala Puri, this quintessential winter specialty perfectly captures the warmth and spirit of the season. Swad Kesariya has always been about bringing people together, and this festival is no different. It speaks to the community by offering families and friends the chance to gather and enjoy a heartfelt meal that celebrates love, warmth, and togetherness.

Adding to the experience is a rotational menu featuring a variety of vegetarian delights. Begin with starters like Tuver Bharmi Kachori, Sarson Ring Dhokla, and Bathua Ka Muthiya, followed by sumptuous mains such as Shahi Angoor ki Sabzi, Haldi Nu Shaak, Gajar Hara Matar Sabzi, and Sarson ka Saag Paneer, paired with breads like Moringa Paratha, Methi Thepla, and Beetroot Puri. Staples like Lilva Surti Dal and Hari Pyaz ki Kadhi, along with rice dishes like Carrot Mint Pulao and Papdi Lilva Baat, round off the savory feast.

The festival’s desserts provide a perfect ending, with seasonal favorites like Shakarkandi Ka Halwa, Sitafal Phirni, and Methi Ladoo, each offering a sweet embrace of winter goodness. On average, the festival serves approximately 2 lakh patrons each year, making it one of the most beloved food celebrations of the season. Swad Kesariya is more than a meal—it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and heartfelt flavors, offering a dining experience that warms the heart and soul.
