Central Railway GM meets MPs of Pune, Solapur divisions
Pune – D K Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway ( along with Principal Heads of Departments and Milind Deuskar, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Pune, Hitendra Malhotra, Divisional Railway Manager, Solapur held a meeting with Members of Parliament from Pune and Solapur Divisions at Pune on Friday.
Vijaysinh Mohite Patil, Vandana Chavan, Anil Shirole, Sanjay Kaka Patil, Shrirang Appa Barne, Dhananjay Mahadik, Shivaji Adhalrao Patil, Ravindra Gaikwad, Chatrapati Udaynaraje Bhosale, Sadashiv Lokhande, Sharad Bansode, Members of Parliament discussed about Railway projects, developmental works done and in progress various other issues on Railways with GM, Central Railway & other officers.
The General Manager delivered welcome address and gave a presentation on works commissioned and completed on different stations on Pune and Solapur divisions. The presentation also featured various passenger amenities provided on a number of stations on the Pune and Solapur divisions. A number of issues including Escalators, Lifts at stations, New FOBs, Water vending machines, LED lighting, Plastic bottle crushing machines, New booking offices, Sanitary napkin vending machines, Free WiFi at stations, Mobile app ticketing system, station beautifications Tree plantation programmes, etc. were discussed.
MPs thanked Central Railway and appreciated the good works done in both the Divisons. MPs also emphasized that all major infrastructural works like doubling, new lines and electrification may be given special attention. General Manager assured for the same. The GM appealed to MPs to help in land acquisition for Railway projects. He said CR will soon be the first zone to be fully electrified.
