CENTRAL RAILWAY LAUNCHED INTENSIVE CLEANLINESS DRIVE

Mumbai, 11 Aug 2020 : Central Railway has launched an intensive cleanliness drive for a week from 10th August to 16th August to mark the Independence Day. In this drive along with cleanliness of stations, trains, colonies, water vending points, toilets, drains focus has been given on Tracks.  
 
In a major intensive cleanliness drive, number of activities undertaken in all 5 divisions of Central Railway on 10.08.2020.
 
At CSMT station undertook major cleaning of passenger coaches, toilets of special trains. Coaching depot staff involved themselves in cleaning of coaches of all sleeper class and air-conditioned rakes whereas the station safai karmacharis concentrated on cleaning of station premises as well as public toilets. Office premises on terminus platforms were also thoroughly cleaned. Store rooms of coaching depots were cleaned and materials sorted to give a clean look.
 
On Bhusaval division, at various locations like coaching depots, station premises, abandoned railway sidings, coaches of mail/express trains were thoroughly cleaned with a special focus on cleaning of coach toilets. 
 
Major cleanliness activities also took place at all coaching depots of Mumbai division i.e.  Mazagaon, Dadar and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. Similar cleaning activities were done in Pune, Solapur and Nagpur division of Central Railway. 
 
The area around coaching depots, offices and store rooms were thoroughly cleaned in all the maintenance depots and sheds staff were involved in a dedicated way along with supervisors to carry out every possible cleanliness tasks.
